You Never Bike Alone is an 80 minute documentary, by ICYCLE.CA Productions, looking at how cyclists are building critical mass in Vancouver, Canada, and changing the face of the city. It is the story of how a social movement grows and the people behind it.
"A compelling and intelligent film" Vancouver Courier “...a lovely piece of agitprop. It isn't didactic, nor proselytizing, but blunt and straightforward. The people interviewed seem so sane, so reasonable and so utterly practical that I wanted to ride off in the sunset with all of them.” The Tyee "What Alstead's documentary captures is the exhilarating feeling of riding your bike with several hundred other cyclists on city streets." Vancouver Sun “I laughed, I cried. I felt stronger and more optimistic about our chances after watching You Never Bike Alone.” Carbusters Magazine DVD for home use: C$20 (includes tax and shipping) DVD with Public Screening Rights: contact us From the filmmaker: Official website | Trailer | Buy the DVD | Hosting materials Tags: documentary, transport, cycling, biking, freakbikes, critical mass, carbon footprint, ecological footprint, velorution, eco doc, green issues, bicycle, urban politics, diy, underwear ride, world naked bike ride No screenings of You Never Bike Alone are currently scheduled.
